This is our Mokume Gane Ring Band: Palladium White Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver, Medium Width.
Mokume Gane is Japanese for wood grain metal. It's made by fusing sheets of the different metals together to form a billet, the combined alloys. The billet is then reshaped in a various of ways that changes the patterning of the alloys. The result beautifully emulates wood grain.
This Mokume Gane is made with three different metal alloys: 14K rose gold, 14K white gold palladium, and sterling silver.
The is without a petina. We offer the same ring with it. Be sure to check it out as well.
The width of this ring is 7mm.
Customize this version of mokume gane to your preferences, including width, banding, and inlays.
Changing the metal alloys can drastically alter the look of the wood grain. The look can also be changed with a patina, usually by darkening the metals. Be sure to find the mokume gane that best suits you.
Each ring is handmade: hand fabricated, sized, soldered, and hand finished in my one-woman home studio shop.
