This is our Mokume Gane Ring Band: Palladium White Gold and Sterling Silver, 7mm Width.
Mokume Gane is Japanese for wood grain metal. It's made by fusing sheets of the different metals together with heat to form a billet, the combined alloys. The billet is then reshaped in a various of ways that changes the patterning of the alloys. The result beautifully emulates wood grain.
This Mokume Gane is made with two different metal alloys: palladium white gold and sterling silver. Palladium white gold is increasingly a popular alternative to white gold. Whereas white gold combines gold and nickel, this substitutes the nickel with palladium, a type of platinum.
The width of this ring is 7mm. We also offer a 5mm and 9mm. Be sure to check them out. Want a different width? Just reach out to us.
This mokume gane is patterned to emulate wood grain. We also do a spiral pattern. Give it a look.
