Overview

Thinking about tying the knot? Already engaged and looking for the perfect ring to fit your love's style? No matter where you are in the process, we would love to help! We have a large and ever-changing selection of engagement and wedding rings available to buy on the spot, or we can customize a design you've been dreaming up!

Don't know where to start? Visit our Instagram to see a diversity of custom work that we have made for our clients over the years, and stop by our shop to explore design styles, stone shapes, gemstone options, metal options, and to have your ring sizes professionally measured!

For the vast majority of our clients, choosing engagement/wedding rings is a major purchase, and one that many couples prefer to do together, as a team, as opposed to the classic concept of one partner surprising the other. Often our couples come to us with some common ground pre-decided together- a general idea of style/design (often with reference photos from Pinterest or from any jewelry inspiration- it doesn't need to be one of our pieces to use as inspiration!) and a shared idea of what a reasonable budget is for you. We have NO minimum price points for customs and truly believe in making beautiful and quality pieces for all clients at all price points, with no judgement, and no pressure to overspend and expand your budget beyond your means.

For clients looking for a more traditional experience, of creating an engagement ring and surprising your partner, we are happy to help with that too, and have some tips to make sure your partner loves what you chose for them! A casual trip to our shop to see what catches their eye can be hugely inspirational to finding a design direction and pinning down certain preferences like stone types, shapes, and colors. Another useful option is asking for help from your partner's close friend or sibling to ensure that you make the right choices. Also, Pinterest is an amazing tool for figuring out your love's style preferences if it is a platform that they use!

About the Process

When you have a design in mind (even just a vague idea, we can help refine it!), reach out or come visit our shop in person. We will discuss design details, measurements, stone and metal options, ring sizes, budget, and everything needed to pin down the perfect design. Once we are on the same page about what you want, we work up a quote. We use both hand fabrication and CAD techniques in our production, applying the making methods that are most suited to the requested design. For CAD projects (often projects with multiple stones and intricate details), we will work up detailed renders (computer models) to allow you to visualize your piece from multiple viewpoints, allowing you to make adjustments as needed so that the end result is absolutely perfect. For hand fabricated pieces, we often use simpler sketches to give a general idea of the final piece, and utilize our inventory of existing designs to show real life examples of design styles. Once the design and quote are finalized and approved, we take a deposit to begin production. Generally we require half down to begin a project, and the other half is paid upon pick up, but we are also happy to work around your budgeting needs, and can often split up the total cost into several payments spread out throughout the length of the project, with the full balance paid in full on pick up. We do this on a case by case basis and are flexible about how to best work with our clients financially.

Timelines

Reach out to us as soon as possible if you have a certain date or deadline in mind for your proposal or wedding ceremony. Most projects take an estimated 2-12 weeks, but this can vary drastically depending on the details of your project. For example, CAD projects take more time upfront to confirm details and to generate and refine the renders, and production times do not begin until after the renders are finalized. Other factors that can add to timelines include processes like custom stone sourcing, which can involve bringing in stones from multiple sources to show our clients in person, and can take time to coordinate and finalize.

Stone Sourcing/ Custom Stone Cutting

We pride ourselves on being the best source for all of your jewelry needs, and have excellent sources for all of your gemstone needs. Whether you are seeking a one of a kind stone to make your partner's heart melt, or a very specific type/color/shape of gemstone, let us be your first stop to finding the exact right thing. We carry on hand a unique selection of set and loose gemstones, and we also work with amazing small gemstone dealers around the world who can locate or custom cut exactly what you are looking for. We can order in several gemstone options for you to see in person to envision in your design before you commit to the stone.

Whether you love natural earth-mined gemstones with ethical sourcing, lab-grown alternatives to traditional wedding rings (like lab diamonds, moissanite, and lab grown colored stones), or have something else in mind, we would love to help you! Anything is possible and we love helping our clients realize the jewelry of their dreams.

Upcycling

We love bringing new life to heirloom jewelry, and upcycling is a great way to maintain the sentimental aspect of inherited family or vintage jewelry while modernizing the style into something that you will love to wear forever! Upcycling is a great option for if you've inherited sentimental jewelry that just isn't your style. Whether you want to restore and resize an existing heirloom piece to wearable condition, remove stones and start from scratch on the design, or direct recycle the exact sentimental metal into a completely new piece, we can help!

Please note that not every piece of jewelry can be direct recycled into a new piece, it depends on the pieces, type of jewelry, metal alloy, condition of the metal, and more. There are often more costs and labor involved in direct recycling metals that generally make it less cost effective than clients expect; direct recycling is primarily done for sentimental reasons, when possible, not cost-saving reasons. If your metal cannot be used to direct recycle into a new piece, you can be given a scrap credit for any metal that we take it for refining, as a credit toward your piece. If upcycling is a priority for you, come visit us in person with the pieces you want to transform, and we can start dreaming and designing together!
